14 week Update at the Drop Spot! Feb 21 2012
When we started the winter model of our Drop Spots, we didn’t know what to expect, we just knew we couldn’t turn our backs on the amazing ground gained in terms of public awareness and more importantly behaviour change.

Good news!
We have hit 1800 drops (and have officially exceeded that) and our food scraps have accumulated to over 14,000 lbs!
We are noticing a steady increase as every saturday comes around and it’s great to see.
At the farmers market location on November 12 we found we had 17 drops come in weighing 156 lbs in total but last week we noticed we had 49 droppers with food scraps weighing up to 472...
A note on the Gordon Neighborhood house.
Just a friendly little reminder that unlike the Winter Farmers Market the Gordon Neighborhood house is entirely volunteer run and they’re doing us a great favor by performing so well however they only run until 1 pm while the Winters Farmers Market runs until 2 pm.
